Walker and marmots will hold third meeting

Vladislav Surkov can go to the European Union, despite personal sanctions.

Special envoy of the US state Department in Ukraine Kurt Volker and assistant to the President of Russia Vladislav Surkov will hold the third and final meeting this year in December, according to Interfax-Ukraine, citing a source familiar with the situation.

“Another meeting – the last this year – scheduled in December and prepared beforehand in one of the countries of the European Union”, – said the source.

He said that a key theme of the meeting will be the modality of the UN mission in the Donbas.

“Security issues are still major unresolved obstacle to the realization of the political scenario. However, the negotiators initiate different approaches to the implementation of the General principles of stabilization: different modalities of the presence of UN peacekeepers in the conflict zone, although they have a common vision of the goals of the mission. Therefore, they have to lead positions to a compromise scenario,” the source added.

As reported Корреспондент.net 13 November Surkov and Walker met in the capital of Serbia – Belgrade. At this meeting, the US presented its proposals on the draft resolution of the UN security Council regarding the deployment of the mission in the Donbass.

Later, Surkov said that of the 29 proposals of the USA, the Russian side considers acceptable only three.

Before they met on October 7 in Belgrade, and on August 21 in Minsk.
