Wages in Ukraine have become less

In the state statistics has published statistics on the average salary in Ukraine. So, according to the Agency, the average salary in January 2017 amounted to 6 thousand 8 hryvnias, which is 7.2% less than in December 2016.

In December 2016, the average salary of Ukrainians amounted to 6 thousand UAH 475. Thus, the monthly salary decreased by UAH 467. Compared to January 2016, the average salary grew by 37.7%.

Real wages in January 2017 compared to December 2016 dropped 8.3%, compared to January 2016 – rose by 21.4%.

The highest average wages are traditionally recorded in the workers of the aviation industry – an average of 27 thousand 252 UAH per employee. In second place are the financiers and insurance agents – 11 92 thousand UAH.

Employees of information and telecommunications sectors received on average 10 thousand UAH 210. The techies and scientists – 8 thousand UAH 195. The average salary in agriculture is 4 694 thousand UAH, in industry – UAH 6 524 thousand.

Low wage workers mail and couriers – 3 328 thousand UAH.

By region the highest average salaries are traditionally in Kiev – 9 292 thousand UAH, in second place-Donetsk oblast – 6 thousand UAH 503. The lowest average wages in Ternopil, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv regions – 641 UAH 4 thousand, 4 thousand 717 UAH 4 UAH 758 thousand, respectively.

The statistics are given without taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, Sevastopol and part of the zone of the antiterrorist operation.
