Director of the Ukrainian Institute of national memory Vladimir vyatrovich explained why it is important for Ukraine to move the output from 9 to 8 may.

So it became clear that this day is used for different kinds of political provocations, so the number of people who are willing to support the idea of transfer of the day on may 8, increased significantly.
Viatrovych added that the current may 8 and 9 again clearly demonstrated the difference in the conduct of the celebrations associated with the Second world war.
“May 8, that is, quietly, calmly, with respect for all participants of this war, without any political provocations, and may 9, which is used for political PR, for tension, for destabilizing the situation in Ukraine”, – he stressed.
