The head of the Institute of naramata explained how he sees the 8th of March.
The head of the Institute of national memory Vladimir vyatrovich told in interview “news”, congratulated whether it is someone from 8 March. “Yes, I studied in the Soviet school and was a pioneer. In this system boys February 23, receiving gifts, and the 8th of March gave something to the girls. It is also a part of my life. Normal I don’t think it’s the remains of Soviet traditions”, — said viatrovych in the conversation.
He added that in the school years understand that these holidays should be abandoned. “I was in Western Ukraine at a time of great change. They were rapid: in the spring of ‘ 89 we defiantly tore my pioneer ties, wore blue-and-yellow badges and received a scolding from the school. We were called into line, shame. And in September, the situation has changed, and those teachers who scolded us, came to the lessons in embroidery”, — he remembered.
Viatrovych added that the girl, whom he met not trebovali him gifts for International women’s day: “Thank God, never had a problem gift of nature with the girls, encountered — none of them demanded to celebrate the 8th of March. Probably were about my views. Or simply close in spirit… In the current discussion on March 8, I was disappointed with some familiar to feminists. The essence of our proposal is to return March 8 original meaning: a Day of struggle for women’s rights”.
Viatrovych added that it is not international women’s day, as written in the calendar in the Soviet tradition, namely, the Day of struggle for women’s rights. “We live in a society that requires the approval of women’s rights,” he concluded.
