From 19 August to 10 September, Spain will host the 72nd version of the popular race.
For three weeks the participants of the Spanish Grand Tour will overcome 3324 kilometers. For the first time, the tour will start in France and finish of the race will be traditionally held in Madrid.
The organizers offered racers intensive itinerary two cutting (team+individual), five flat stages, five mountain segment (+1 flat stage with finish in the mountain) and eight mountain stages.

The main favourite is considered the Volta racer Sky Christopher froome, who just four weeks ago won the Tour de France. The main competitors of the British promise to be Vincenzo nibali, Fabio Aru, the brothers Yates, Esteban Chaves, Romain bardet, Ilnur Zakarin and others.
Special plot Vuelta 2017 will be the farewell of Alberto Contador from Cycling. Cult Spanish mnogodnevki at home race will put an end to his glorious career. Contador is not considered the favorite in the General classification, but his ability to take a beautiful stage and compete for the top 10 individual classification.
The winner of the Vuelta 2017 will receive 150 thousand euros. The total prize Fund of the Spanish race exceeds 1.1 million Euro.
