Volkswagen will present six new products in 2017

Representatives of the German automaker told about future Volkswagen models.

The Volkswagen company for 2017, will introduce six new models and their modifications. About it the correspondent Autonews.ru said the representative of the German carmaker.

Official details about the new products remain secret. According to preliminary data, this autumn at the Frankfurt motor show to debut flagship SUV Touareg the next generation. The model will be built on the platform MLB Evo aluminium and steel, which already underpins the Audi Q7 second generation, and the world’s fastest production SUV – the Bentley Bentayga.

The new Touareg will grow in size and get a completely different appearance. In addition, the SUV will get the latest multimedia center with the ability of voice control and gestures, as well as adaptive cruise control with full auto stop and auto resume drive when driving in traffic.

The engine range will be presented an advanced three-liter diesel V6 power of 270 HP, and petrol “six” of similar capacity, outstanding approximately 340 forces. In the future there will be a version with hybrid power plant, consisting of jet the Quartet and an electric motor.

In addition, at the motor show in Frankfurt to debut the Polo hatchback the sixth generation. It will be built on a modular platform MQB A0, through which the model becomes easier, and the interior is roomier. For the hatchback will be available fully digital instrument panel and infotainment system with interfaces support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The engine range will include nadobno “four” with a volume of 1.5 liters with the system deactivated some of its cylinders under light loads. This engine debuted on the updated model Golf which develops 130 or 150 forces. “Charged” GTI version will get sorbirovannoe two-liter “four”, which is now being installed on the Golf GTI. It is assumed that the engine, whose power will be around 200 HP, will enable the hatchback to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in six seconds.

In addition, representatives of the German company said that by 2020, Volkswagen will present two completely new models every year. In 2018, the Germans have to show two sedans, and in 2019 and 2020, the year will debut four SUV. For the first four months of 2017 Volkswagen has already unveiled four new models. Perhaps, the main novelty was the seven-passenger crossover Teramont (in the US sold under the name of Atlas), which will reach the Russian market in November this year.
