Volkswagen has unveiled the hybrid version of the Golf GTI. The car was developed over nine months by a group of interns of the German company. Public premiere of the car will take place at the festival at lake wörthersee in Austria.
The car received a hybrid powertrain. It includes gasoline engine power of 404 HP, driving the front wheels. Also, the machine is equipped with a motor with recoil 17 HP, sending power to the rear axle. If desired, the driver can activate the work of each of the motors individually.
Visually, the car features a special body color, rear spoiler, and nameplate of the “First Decade” and “10”. Also the car was equipped with a new audio system with 11 speakers and a subwoofer.
The Company Volkswagen for 2017 will present six new models and their modifications. Official details about the new products remain secret. According to preliminary data, this autumn at the Frankfurt motor show to debut flagship SUV Touareg the next generation. The model will be built on the platform MLB Evo aluminium and steel, which already underpins the Audi Q7 second generation, and the world’s fastest production SUV — the Bentley Bentayga.
In addition, at the motor show in Frankfurt to debut the Polo hatchback the sixth generation. It will be built on a modular platform MQB A0, through which the model becomes easier, and the interior is roomier.
