Volkswagen boasted of its novelty

Company Volkswagen has published the first teaser image of the successor of CC.

The car will receive name Ateon and will be shown at the Geneva motor show on March 7 news.infocar.ua

Judging by the pictures, the fastback will get led optics and a chrome grille. All the technical characteristics of the car are kept secret. The press service said that the car will be equipped with “the latest driver assistance systems, previously presented in class.”

According to unofficial data, the top version of the novelty will be offered with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine. The capacity of the unit is 280 horsepower. The engine will work together with the seven-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system. Also planned is the emergence of hybrid versions of the car. It is not excluded that in the structure of the power plant will include a 3.0-liter V6 and an electric motor.

Earlier Autocar reported that Arteon will be built on the extended platform MQB. The standard version of the car will become 50 mm longer than its predecessor, the production is stopped this month. The Luggage compartment of the new sedan will be increased to 1700 litres. The design of the model will resemble the concept Sport Coupe Concept GTE.

The name change of car is due to the fact that the current generation of sedan CC uses extremely low demand. At the moment, the concern ceased production of this model.
