Putin believes that the organizers of the protests are engaged in self-promotion.
All forms of protests, including demonstrations must remain within the law. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said after completing a straight line at the briefing, which was broadcast channel “Russia 24”.
The question he asked a reporter for the BBC.
“In the last two months went through several mass protests against the government (Putin at this point, nodded. – ed.”). Tell me, please: what do you think of them? Do you believe Alexei Navalny, at the call which came from these protests, its political rival in the elections in 2018?” she asked.

“Because it is in a sense propaganda of those people you support,” he said, without explaining what is meant.
Putin noted that the protest actions, including demonstrations, always possible in the framework of democratic procedures are the correct way to convey their point of view to the existing authorities, if people disagree with them. Thus, according to him, all must comply with the law.
“It is one thing to organize protests, and another thing – to use these actions as a tool of provocation and aggravation of the situation for self-promotion… I think that this is not done to improve the situation in the country, not for solving any problems, and to solve their own personal issues related to self-promotion,” he said.
The question is whether he thinks the Bulk of his rival in the presidential election in 2018, Putin has ignored.
