Unique street photography children’s nanny Vivian Maier
Vivian Maier (Vivian Maier) is an amazing character, a master of street photography.
Vivian shot, working as a nanny. Mayer was born in 1926 in new York in the family of Austrian and French, because childhood and adolescence spent in France. Then Vivian came to live in America with my girlfriend-photographer Jeanne Bertrand, who, apparently, learned how to use the camera. In 1956 she settled in Chicago, where for forty years he worked as a babysitter in different families. Vivian walked with the children and photographed on high-quality camera Rolleiflex, but on the publication of their shots did not care, considering photography as my hobby.
In 2007, two years before his death, Mayer was unable to pay its leased space in a warehouse, and all negatives, photographs, audio and videotapes have been exhibited at the auction. Part of the work was purchased by fotocollection John Maloof, and in July 2008 her photographs were first published on the Internet.
In the collection there are more than one hundred thousand negatives that Maloof is still parses. We offer you to look amazingly talented and fine workmanship Vivian Maier is a journey to the streets of Chicago the middle of last century.
