World Boxing Council (WBC) has recognized the former Ukrainian boxer Vitali Klitschko eternal world champion in the heavyweight division.
Giving Klitschko the elder the honorary title took place on the first day of the 54th annual Congress of the WBC in Miami. The mayor of Kiev received the award from the hands of the former world champion in four categories Roy Jones Jr.
“One day I put on that green belt, which belonged to Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali. For a long time he was mine. It is very important to have a dream and do everything to make it a reality,” – said Vitaly Klitschko in the award.
Ukrainian boxer became the world champion under version WBC in 2004, knocking out Corrie Sanders and the late South African revenge for the defeat of his brother Vladimir. The status of champion of the world Boxing Council, Vitali Klitschko has not lost a single battle.
