In an interview with the “Fight Hub TV” Klitschko said that the nearly 20-year difference in age would not prevent him to knock the new leader of the heavyweight division Anthony Joshua, who in April in a spectacular battle stopped Klitschko and took possession of the titles WBA, IBF and IBO.
“I feel that if I went back in the ring, I would be knocked out Joshua. But, sorry, in the position where I am now in the position of mayor of Kiev – I can’t do that, though, and really miss Boxing and twice a week spend Boxing training”, – said Vitaly Klitschko.
As for the new generation of heavyweights, the former WBC would like to see the fight between Anthony Joshua and DevTeam Wilder.
“I am very interested to know who the best, who is the strongest. If Joshua can beat Pulev, then open a path to a fight with Wilder. When this fight happens, Boxing will capture everyone’s attention. We can finally see who is the best, and that makes me happy,” concluded the mayor of Kiev.
Vitali Klitschko last appeared in the ring in September 2012 in Moscow, Ukrainian champion, knocked out Manuel Charr, and a year later announced his retirement and went into politics.
