Visa to Egypt has increased by almost 2.5 times

Egypt since March 1 will increase the cost of the fee on entry from 25 to 60 dollars.

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Egypt decided to raise the fees for entry to Egypt from $25 to $60 from March 1, said Friday the newspaper Egypt Independent.

The increase will apply to all arriving through land, sea and air ports. Foreign Ministry has already informed about this decision by the immigration authorities, border crossing points and tourist company.

Fees imposed on violators of the visa regime, will also be raised.

According to the newspaper, representatives of the chamber of Tourism of Egypt have accepted the decision, calling it inappropriate in the face of declining tourist arrivals to the country. According to them, the rising cost of entry visas will prevent the inflow of tourists.
