Peter Tolstoy proposed to send from Russia the ambassadors of the countries where destroy Soviet memorials.
The Deputy speaker also called on everyone to preserve the memory of the heroism of previous generations.
MOSCOW, February 5. /TASS/. Russia should firmly respond to the attempted destruction of the Soviet memorials in Eastern European countries until the expulsion of their ambassadors. With this initiative on Wednesday by the Vice-speaker of the state Duma Peter Tolstoy during the round table “Historical memory: spiritual lessons of a great Victory.”
“We need to respond harshly to attempts of destruction of our memorials in Eastern Europe. Not so, unfortunately, today often it happens when our representatives just nod my head. Ambassadors should be expelled in such cases, when it comes to that defile graves of people who gave their lives for the ability of countries to speak the native language”, – said Tolstoy.
Deputy Chairman of the lower chamber also called on everyone to preserve the memory of the heroism of previous generations.
“The most important thing is to explain why this feat was, why and what does this have to today, to our ability freely to choose the path of development of our country, not looking at anyone, not delegating their sovereignty in exchange for subsidies from the European Union, as did the majority of European countries, including liberated by Soviet soldiers,” concluded Thick.
