Russia, Iran and terrorism are among the main threats in the world, said Deputy Prime Minister of the United States.
U.S. Vice-President Mike Pence said that Russia, Iran and terrorism are among the main threats in the world against which the United States is ready to help NATO allies.
“Against Russia’s attempts to redraw international borders by force to Iran’s efforts to destabilize the middle East, to global threats of terrorism, which can strike at any time, any place – I think the world is more dangerous today than ever after the fall of communism a quarter century ago,” said Pence.
The Vice President said that Washington is ready to fulfil its allied obligations within NATO and to “adhere to the principle that an attack on one (member of NATO) is an attack on all of us.”
“With the advent of enemies, new and old, our Alliance must continue to evolve to counter the threats of today and tomorrow, especially to confront the threat of terrorism,” added Pence.
Note that Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia’s relations with the United States – the worst since the Cold war.
