This opinion was expressed by the head of the Ukrainian Institute of national memory (winp) Vladimir vyatrovich.
According to him, Russia’s war against Ukraine is based on the remnants of the Soviet, that is in consciousness of Ukrainian society.
“The less the Soviet will stay, the less opportunities for the deployment of anti-Ukrainian actions of Russia in Ukraine”, – said viatrovych.
In his opinion, such historical characters as the head of the UPA Roman Shukhevych, in whose honor in Kiev was renamed the Avenue General Vatutin is very important to the Ukrainian society to mobilize against modern Russia.
In addition, the head of the Institute, another symbol of struggle against Russian imperialism in addition to Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych can become the head of the UNR Simon Petlura.
