MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. About 99% of Russians heard about the outbreak of the disease caused by new coronavirus type it is common to the results of a survey of the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM).
“The vast majority of Russians heard about the outbreak of illness caused by a coronavirus, which occurred at the beginning of this year in China – 99% <…> Half of Russians, informed about the disease, fear of getting sick or of getting their loved ones (52%)”, – stated in the materials of the survey.
Russians (59%) believe that 2019 caused by a coronavirus-nCoV disease COVID-19 more dangerous than seasonal flu. A quarter of respondents (26%) likened the new virus to the flu and believe that he is “no more and no less dangerous.”
One in ten (11%) Respondent assesses the likelihood of Contracting COVID-19 as high, but the majority (60%) believe that the probability of infection is rather low.
