Jacques dyupake shared memories.
French scientist, historian and a member of the Communist party of France Jacques dyupake (Jacques Dupâquier) in 1950-70-ies visited three times in the Soviet Union, visiting among other places the Uzbek SSR in 1956. Later in the interview, the Director of the French Institute of social Sciences Jacques dyupake recalled his journey.
“After a few days in Moscow we flew to Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan. We were on the old screw plane, not raised above 3 200 m and with bated breath I would spend hours looking at Soviet Central Asia. Tashkent was a large earthen city with a single prospect, built in the Stalinist fashion (though the famous Stalinist high-rise building it is not decided) in the middle of the city. However, ten years later it was all destroyed (this refers to the earthquake of 1966). I walked around town, saw the market women which was wrapped in blankets, visited mosques, met with officials, each of them was accompanied by Russian. I had the impression that watching more than us.”
