Such conditions imports will only cover vehicles manufactured by six companies.
From August 2017 import duties on used cars manufactured in Canada, imported to Ukraine will be 0% regardless of the country from which imported machine.
This was stated by General Director of Ukrainian Association of automobile importers and dealers, market expert Oleg Nazarenko on his page in Facebook.
“Explain that zero duty on used cars that are exported from Canada, and used car by origin (i.e., produced in Canada)! This 6 corporations that have factories there”, – he stressed.
We will remind, the government of Ukraine received a note from the canadian side that all the necessary formalities for commencement of a free trade zone between the countries is made. The agreement will take effect from 1 August 2017. In a fairly wide list of goods subject to import and export with zero or preferential rates, there are also cars. So, immediately after the beginning of the agreement the duty on used cars manufactured in Canada are zero. The new car will be applied a 7% import duty.
