USA included in the “Magnitsky list” of five more Russians

США включили в "список Магнитского" еще пятерых россиянThe Ministry of Finance of America has extended the sanctions “Magnitsky list”.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin and four Russian citizens introduced by the Ministry of Finance on Monday, the US sanctions in the “Magnitsky list”.

According to the updated list posted on the Ministry’s website, under the sanctions in the framework of the so-called “Magnitsky Act” came another five citizens of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin, Stanislav Gordievsky, Dmitry Kovtun, Andrei Lugovoi and Gennady Plaksin.

Meanwhile, in a statement released by the official U.S. state Department spokesman John Kirby reported that currently the list includes 44 people. “Persons in this list are not eligible for visas, they were denied entry into the United States. (…) You can block all assets of these individuals within the jurisdiction of the United States or controlled by U.S. citizens, U.S. citizens are prohibited from carrying out any transactions with them”, – underlined in the message.

In March 2013 , when the name of Bastrykin was called among the potential defendants in the sanctions list.

Chairman SKR has already spoken on this issue. Then he said that he “would be honored” if I include in the “Magnitsky list”. According to Bastrykin, the possible sanctions associated with excited TFR criminal cases against American citizens on the facts of death in the United States Russian children. In addition, he stressed that the TFR did not conduct the “Magnitsky case” he was investigating the circumstances of his death. And this case was brought to court.
