Uruguayan student got 10 thousand dollars for hacking Google

Thanks to Ezequiel Pereira, the company quickly closed a gap in your protection.

An interesting story happened with a high school student from Uruguay named Ezequiel Pereira, who accidentally discovered a software vulnerability Google and reported it in feedback. The story the student has described in his blog and now it has become accessible to all.

A few hours later after the teenager pointed to a specific bug that could seriously affect the security level of American multinational Corporation Google, he received a letter of gratitude from the developers. And a few days later Ezequiel Pereira know him for his discovery will pay as much as 10 thousand U.S. dollars.

As it turned out, the Uruguayan schoolboy managed to go on one of the pages Google which contains all the information about the services and infrastructure Corporation, and it is a priori should not be accessible to unauthorized users.

By the way, the search program Google vulnerability “Vulnerability Reward Program” works now, so everyone can try to find some significant bug for that in the future, in all probability, will be gifted with a tidy sum.
