In the competition took part more than 2 thousand photographers from around the world.
The results of the annual competition Nikon Small World, in which photographers from around the world compete in beauty of pictures taken through a microscope. Were submitted more than 2 thousand photos from around the world, from which were selected the 20 best works.
“This year’s winners not only reflect important trends in science, but also allow the audience to see hidden from our world,” said Eric Flem, the representative of Nikon Instruments, conducting the competition.
The winner is Bram van den Broek of the Netherlands cancer Institute, who photographed the cell of the human skin, illuminated the inside of it with lots of keratin.
