A division of Toyota introduced the unmanned vehicle with a new algorithm for orientation in space and self-learning.
The concept is built on the basis of the current-generation hybrid sedan the Lexus LS 600hL and is able to memorize routes and to pre-pay for Parking.
Model from the Toyota Research Institute is equipped with lidar, radar and sensor cameras. Also the new system of self-study, which allows to adapt the driver and even to monitor his health and mood.
The new technology uses two algorithms, which the automaker calls the Driver (Chauffeur) and Guardian (Guardian). Chauffeur is a fully Autonomous mode, and Guardian is an intelligent assistant that monitors the actions of the driver and the situation on the road. He warns the motorist about the threats.
By the way, the new technology plan to implement in production vehicles Toyota in 2017. The automaker claims that Autonomous emergency braking will be standard equipment in almost every model of Toyota and Lexus by the end of this year.
