Ukrainian students have completed another successful day of the world summer Universiade in Taipei.
Olympic champion in Rio 2016 Oleg Verniaiev to silver in the team tournament included gold in the all-around. Titled Ukrainian with the result 88,300 points left behind two representatives of the national team of Japan – Nonomura (86,050) and the Wataru Tanigawa (85,700).
The female player of the year Irina Romadanova got to the final of the Universiade, and in the battle for the gold 23-year-old Ukrainian woman managed to deal with the best sportswoman of the season in the weight category up to 46 kg Kyriaki Kotoki. During the duel Ramaldanov was lost 0:3, but managed to seize the initiative (8:3).
Third gold for the day, Ukraine received in men’s fencing. Dmitry Chuchukalo has won 10 fights in a row, which made him the winner of the Universiade. In the battle for the gold with the Japanese Kyousuke Matsuyama Ukrainian at the score of 14:14 was able to strike a decisive shot. Compatriot Chuchukalo Rostislav Garzik reached the semi-finals and became the bronze medalist of the games in Taipei.
Silver medallists of the Universiade in Taipei was the team jumping in the water in the Stanislaus Olearchuk and Victoria Caesar. Ukrainians scored 284,64 points, losing only to a team from Mexico.
Swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk to gold in the race for 400 meters, added the silver in the race for 1500 meters. Ahead of the Ukrainian only managed the current world champion at this distance, Gregorio Paltrinieri.
