Ukrainian students continue to perform at the ongoing Taipei world University games.
Seventh gold at the Universiade Ukraine brought weightlifter Irina Deha, became a champion in weight category to 90 kg. a Significant underweight (Deha weighed almost 79 kg) did not prevent the Ukrainian set a new Universiade record in the clean and jerk and the snatch, Irina took 246 kg, beating her nearest rival by 4 kg.
Three awards in the overall medal piggy Bank added swimmers – Michael Romanchuk was second in the race for 800 meters freestyle, silver in the race for the 100-meter butterfly added Andrey Lads and Sergey Frolov (800 m freestyle) won the bronze.
