In the village tokivs’ke Apostolovsky district, Dnipropetrovsk region, archaeologists discovered the sanctuary, which is about 4 thousand years.
According to the staff of the Museum named after Dmytro Yavornytsky, who conduct excavations, is a place of worship was used for performing the rituals associated with cattle breeding. This is evidenced by the corresponding findings.
As head of Department of archaeology Museum Alexander Man, during excavations they found pottery, which is still preserved ancient ornaments. In addition, the archaeologists found a mold that talks about how made spearheads. Also there are forms for sickles, and fishhooks.
The old man said that such findings are not in all museums of our country. On this place archeologists come for the third year in a row. In the past year they have found the grave of a young Scythian, the remains of which are now studied.
Local residents have produced a commemorative plaque to his old “roommate” and await the return of his skeleton. Before returning to the Dnieper archaeologists will dig this sanctuary.
