Joint state-owned company Ukrzaliznytsya in 2018-2019 planning to launch high-speed train Kiev-Gomel to improve railway communication with Belarus. This was stated by acting Chairman of the management Board of the company Evgeny Kravtsov during the government meeting.
“From the 10th December this year we plan to introduce a new schedule of passenger trains. Already a pilot, we have launched several new areas, such as Odessa-Przemysl. And this Sunday will run the train Odessa-Lviv”, – he said.
According to Kravtsova also extend to international routes.
“We plan to launch on 10 December a new message Kyiv-Vienna. In the future, we look at the direction of Mukachevo-Budapest narrow track, and the train Kiev-Minsk-Vilnius-Riga-Tallinn. In addition, the high-speed train Kiev-Gomel during the 2018-2019 year for the message with Belarus,” he said.
