Officials have not provided proper verification of purchased parts.
Employees of the security Service of Ukraine together with the Prosecutor’s office exposed the fact that the supply for Railways illiquid spare parts for rolling stock of railway transport of 20 million UAH.
“The management of one of structural divisions of state-owned enterprises have concluded contracts for the supply of spare parts with two private companies. Merchants under agreements consciously set enterprise components, produced with gross violations of technical conditions that, in particular, significantly reduced the lifetime of spare parts”, – the press-service SBU.
It is reported that the officials “did not adequately check the quality of the product.”
According to experts, the purchase of these components could lead to accidents on the railway. Illiquid products were sealed and handed over for safekeeping.
Also field investigators of SBU withdrew the documentation proving the holding of a multimillion-dollar deal to supply poor quality components.
On this fact openly criminal proceedings under part 5 article 191 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (embezzlement of another’s property in especially large sizes, carried out by an official by abuse of official position).
