“Ukrtelecom” has decided since March 1, 2018 closes the service of sending telegrams, which long ago became popular and profitable. This is stated in the company’s announcement in the newspaper Uryadovy courier.
“Will be discontinued receipt, processing and transmission for the delivery of telegrams of all kinds and categories,” – said in the message.
Ukrtelecom explains that the number of sent telegrams decreased greatly due to the development of electronic channels of communication and spreading the use of digital signatures.
Another reason this service is outdated equipment and lack of support from the manufacturers.
Now the service is sending telegrams is rapidly losing its popularity and that it is unprofitable for the company. In particular, if in 2015 was sent to approximately 350 thousand telegrams, then a year later 100 thousand, and now only about 10 million in the quarter.
The losses amount to tens of millions of hryvnia in the year.
