The tariffs will come into force in 2018.
The Ministry of justice of Ukraine registered the decision of the National Commission, carrying out state regulation in the sphere of communications and Informatization (NCCIR), which provides for the modification of maximum tariffs for universal services of postal communication.
According to the report, the new marginal rates are effective from 1 January 2018, after the publication in the Official Bulletin of Ukraine.
The cost of sending the key types of mail will decrease. The cost of sending letters from 50 g to 250 g will decrease by 3% to 7.5 UAH, and most of all reduced rate for parcels from 2kg to 3kg – 55% to 25 UAH. The cost of sending small postcards and letters (up to 50g) will remain unchanged and will amount to UAH 5.
Thus, the tariff for sending parcels weighing up to 1 kg will increase by 20%, up to 12 UAH, and for parcels weighing up to 2 kg by 8% to UAH 14.
Parcel up to 4 kg will cost UAH 18, which is 5.3% less than the current rate. The cost of sending parcels from 4 to 10 kg also reduced, with most to reduce the cost of sending a parcel weighing 10 kg – 18.9%, to UAH 30.
Will also change the cost of international shipments. For example, the rate for a combined shipment of a parcel up to 5 kg in the U.S. will grow by 32% and the rate for delivery in that direction – 1%.
