The developers have integrated into “Phantom” anti-tank missile system “Barrier”.
Ukroboronprom unveiled a new modification tactical unmanned multipurpose vehicle Phantom at the exhibition IDEX-2017 in the UAE, the press service of the company.
According to Paul Barbula, Director of the developer company Spetstechnoexport, updated version of the ground drone is a demonstration of just one of the many variations of the configuration of the Phantom:
“The goal of this project is to create technology that can efficiently perform various combat missions while minimizing risks to military life” .
The developers have integrated a Phantom anti-tank missile system “Barrier”. With such weapons and mobile stealth Phantom is capable of hitting hard and light-armored targets at a distance of from 100 to 5000 meters.
“In addition, the Phantom is equipped with stable turning platform for different weapons. Test firing of the Phantom, which was carried out with a mounted machine gun 12.7 mm, confirmed the high efficiency of the new development,” – said in the message.
Hybrid engine with all-wheel drive, independent suspension and hydraulic brake system ensure the Phantom high performance characteristics, including the sand. Communication between the control center and Phantom are provided by means of protected channels range of up to 10km or fibre-optic cable.
