“Ukroboronprom” has shown the power of the new mortar bars

New mobile mortar complex was presented at the exhibition in Kiev.

At the exhibition “Arms and security-2017” in Kiev has introduced mobile mortar system “bars-8ММК”. It was developed by the specialists of SE “ukroboronservice”.

As reported, “bars-8ММК” is equipped with a 120-mm mortar, which is designed to support fire ground units in modern mobile warfare.

“For bringing the complex into the firing position from marching only need 30 seconds, and to leave the position possible in just 20 seconds after the last shot,” – said in a published statement.

During the exhibition were shown all the components of the complex.

The group noted that the mobility and rapid fire is the main condition for effective combat actions in the conditions of modern counter-battery struggle, when it is necessary to leave the position before the application of an enemy fire strike in response.

“Bars-8ММК” integrated system of information exchange on the battlefield, when the calculation of the mobile mortar complex gets the exact coordinates of the enemy in real-time. Such information can simultaneously come from drones, counter-battery radar and other surveillance systems. This allows the fighters to move to the line of open fire to inflict fire attack on the exact coordinates and for a few minutes to leave the position”, – reported in “Ukroboronprom”.
