5 through December 17 on the Earth will fall a powerful meteor stream Geminids.
This is the last in this year’s stargazing, which is among the three biggest. It is noteworthy that only one hour in the sky you can observe more than 100 meteorites.
This remarkable phenomenon will be able to see the residents from any point of the globe. Particularly impressive sight is expected in the Northern part of the Land, as the main flow passes through the constellation Gemini.
These meteorites are different from others by its white color and high brightness. Their speed is about 35 km / s. This Starfall is the star dust of the asteroid Phaeton.
