Global pork prices to end the year. This is evidenced by the forecasts of Rabobank. At the same time the world’s pork supply in the 4th quarter of 2017 will grow, mainly thanks to China, USA, Canada and Brazil.
“The driver market is China. In recent months it has significantly reduced the import, and this entails a risk of overflow of the global market,” says Chenjun pan, senior analyst RaboResearch. However, the situation may change.
This prediction of rising prices is unambiguous, said Andriy Pankratov, senior expert of agricultural markets food and agricultural organization of the UN (FAO).
“First, the growth forecast is average. For example, the EU is about to become a tangible increase in the supply of pork due to increased production and they will have to actively seek additional markets. Rabobank analysts do not expect a significant impact of this factor, but the Ukrainian market will feel this trend in full. Second, some factors that have to work on prices, on the contrary, will constrain this growth,” – said Pankratov on his page in Facebook.
At the same time, the Ukrainian market has reached the limit, when pork imports becomes economically justified.
For the first 9 months of 2017, the figure was 70 000 tons, 11% more than in the same period last year. More imported just poultry – 120,000 tons.
Meat products are imported mainly from Poland and Germany.
Earlier it was reported that the New year in Ukraine the price of eggs will soar to 29 hryvnia per dozen poultry.
