Ukrainians warned about the possible unpleasant consequences of the heat

Heat wave carries catastrophic consequences for Ukraine.

According to the hydrometeorological center of Ukraine, the heat will last at least until the end of the week.

Because of the high temperature concentration of contaminants in the air, especially near highways and clusters of transport, was exceeded by 4-6 times.

The meteorologist evaluates weather conditions for Kiev and region this week as a threat, in this regard, significantly increases the fire of peat bogs, forests and crops in the fields.

“The risk of peatland fires or herbs in the forests and fields are possible at the end of the week, if no rain,” — said the head of Department of meteorological forecasts Lyudmila Savchenko.

It is noteworthy that last year in early August in Ukraine it has been more than one fire peat the peak of the fires occurred on August 10, when the maximum temperature was only 26 degrees.

To date have not recorded any incident.

At the same time in the SSES region declare that in connection with heat, cases of fires on grain fields.

“So, just since the beginning of summer on the territory of the Kiev region recorded nine fires of grain on an area of almost 9 hectares”, — noted in press service.

Rescuers are trying to save the harvest digging fire ditches, and peat bogs are monitoring using drones.
