In Russia, the flow of passengers has decreased.
For seven months of the current year in the railway transport in the EU travelled 8 times more passengers than last year.
In particular, there is a rapid growth in demand for travel by train to EU countries and back. So, for 7 months in this direction by rail took advantage of 138.5 thousand passengers, which is 8.3 times more than in the same period last year.
At the same time, passenger traffic in Russia decreased. In this direction, by rail traveled about 1.1 million passengers, up almost 11% less than last year.
Ukrzaliznytsia notes that the overall trend of increased demand for railway transport from Ukraine to Europe and back is observed in the last few years, however over the past 5 years the number of passengers in the Russian Federation decreases.
With the introduction of bezveze “Ukrzaliznytsya” develops the market of transportations between Ukraine and member States of the EU. In the whole of the Ukraine train and the through cars today operate in six countries of the European Union.
