The lion’s share of diesel cars are the crossover segment.
For the first six months of this year on the Ukrainian market sold about 14 thousand new diesel vehicles.
This figure increased by 43% compared to first half of 2016.
The lion’s share of diesel cars accounted for SUVs (crossovers). Today it has reached almost 50%.
The main advantage of the car on heavy fuel, despite the fact that diesel fuel is cheaper than gasoline, it’s his efficiency. However, diesel versions are more expensive than petrol.
Today in the Ukrainian market minimum share of diesel vehicles from the Subaru brand (5,1% of cars sold with diesel engines of total sales), Great Wall (5,6%), Opel (8.8 per cent), Honda (12,1%) and Chevrolet (9.8 per cent).
However, among brands that have recently been submitted only with petrol engines, there is clear progress in the line. It is primarily concerned with Japanese companies. In particular, the share of diesel engines in the Lexus lineup in Ukraine has already reached 15%, Infiniti – 16%, Mazda – 18.6%, Toyota – 26.8%, Nissan – 27.9%.
There are many popular models, which are officially not sold have diesel engines. That does not prevent them to enter the top 20 of sales. This, for example, Toyota Corolla, Ford Fiesta, Ravon R2, Suzuki Vitara, Toyota Camry, Mitsubishi Outlander, Volkswagen Polo, Nissan Juke, Skoda Rapid.
