Anatoly Hop still receives a parliamentary pension.
Social media users were outraged by the information that former member of the Slavic city Council from the Communist party Anatoly Hop, which in spring 2014 was supported by the Russian fighters Igor Girkin (strelkov), and in the summer with him escaped from Slavyansk in the occupied territory of Donbass, still receives a parliamentary pension from the budget of Ukraine.
Information on the payment of pensions supporter of the militants gave the Pension Fund of Ukraine in response to the inquiry by Deputy Igor Lutsenko.
Hop from 1994 to 2002, he served as people’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Communist party. On this basis, he gets high parliamentary pension, the average size which according to the official in 2017 was 15 152 USD.
The publication notes that earlier the Minister of social policy Pavlo Rozenko has repeatedly stated that the people residing in the uncontrolled territories are not eligible for pension.
After the capture of Slavyansk, the Russians Hop on 30 April 2014 along with a group of deputies of the city Council held an extraordinary session and ousted mayor Nelia Shtepa. After that, he headed the so-called “coordinating Council” of the city and decided to allocate space to the so-called “self-defense of Slavyansk”. During the occupation of the city of Hop was organizing the illegal “referendum DNR” acted on behalf of militants on local television, and actively helped militants Strelkova-Girkin.
