Deals for buying and selling residential real estate in Kiev in January-June increased by 15% compared to the same period in 2016.
This was announced by Deputy head of Department of strategic consulting company Ukrainian trade Guild Konstantin Oleinik.
Total for this period were about 25 thousand transactions of purchase and sale of apartments. While sales in the Kiev region grew by 22.4% to 9 thousand transactions.
According to Oleynik, the interest of buyers is shifting towards the primary housing market as the secondary market grows the proportion of illiquid real estate (housing built in 50-60-ies).
“At the moment there is no reason to say that the pace of construction works ahead of the needs of the population”, – said Olejnik.
According to experts, the increase in development activity in the residential property segment recorded not only in Kiev but also in other regions of the country.
