Ukrainian tereshuk denied the medal with the 2008 Olympic games

The international Olympic Committee selected Victoria Tereshchuk medal from the Olympics 2008 in Beijing.

Official site of the international Olympic community reported that after rechecking the doping of the sample in the body of a 35-year-old Tereschuk found traces of a banned substance turinabol.

The result of the athletes who won the Olympic games in Beijing, the third in the modern pentathlon, cancelled. The IOC ordered Tereshchuk to return Olympic medal, also called the national Olympic Committee of Ukraine as soon as possible to ensure the return of the bronze medal and diploma obtained Tereshchuk in 2008-m to year.

It is expected that the bronze-Victoria tereshuk will go to the Belarusian Anastasia Samusevich, which at the Olympics in Beijing took fourth place, behind Ukrainian at 32 points.

Victoria Tereshchuk was not the first Ukrainian athlete who lost an Olympic award in the review of the doping tests. Informed of his award-winning lost Denis Yurchenko (vault), Natalia Davydova, and Olga Box (both weightlifting).
