Unbeaten Ukrainian boxer Taras Shelestyuk (16-0, 10 KO) is ready to fight with the new WBC Welterweight champion Shawn porter (29-2-1, 17 KO’s).
Last week porter in Brooklyn by unanimous decision (116:112, 116:112, 115:113) dealt with Danny Garcia (34-2, 20 KO’s) and won the vacant WBC belt at Welterweight.
One of the first to call porter threw a 31-year-old boxer from Makeyevka Taras Shelestyuk, who in 2013 spent on a professional ring the winning 16 fights, including 10 knockouts.
“Shawn porter congratulations on your big win! One day I want to fight you, champion,” wrote Shelestyuk on his page on “Instagram”.
Shelestyuk last went to the ring in July of last year. In Sacramento Olympic medalist knocked out little-known Jesus Alvarez Rodriguez.
Taras Shelestyuk in the case of obtaining the title fight will try to become the fourth current world champion from the Ukraine after Vasyl Lomachenko, Alexander Usik and Artem Dalakian.
