In Kiev at the festival OldCarLand 2017 introduced floating swamp of Ukrainian origin – “powervar”, made on the nodes and aggregates VAZ and UAZ.
Lovers of hybrids dirt off-road enthusiasts Kiev Atelier 4×4 Rancho Club prepared a surprise – a floating marsh buggy own design.
The car under the unusual name “PowerVR” presented at technical festival in Kiev OldCarLand 2017. Swamp buggies “Powerbar” has a frame with an integrated frame and a homemade, 4-seater body shape unsightly.
Gasoline engine – 2-cylinder working volume of 0.8 l is taken from “Oka”, VAZ-1113. Fuel consumption is about 2 liters per hour. Tank holds up to 22 L.
Both the leading axle will allow UAZ. Front used lock BTR-80, and the rear – locking Lock Right. Transmission – 4-speed, also borrowed from “Oka”. But “razdatki” borrowed from “Niva” VAZ-2121. Suspension – spring.
Pride of the swamp – a huge tubeless wheel dimension 1300х530х533. Machine weight is only 950 lbs. Maximum speed on land up to 55 km/h On the water by the rotation of the wheels, the car moves with a speed of 2 to 4 km/h.
However, it is possible to establish the pendant boat motor and then the swamp turns into a boat. “powervar” is also equipped with an electric winch 4WD King 4000 Lbs, which if necessary can be installed in front or back.
