Ukrainian schools have to be accountable for all contributions of parents

It must be done before December 1.

All schools of Ukraine is obliged to publish information on all incoming and which tools to use until December 1. Such Declaration shall be subject to not only state funds, but the charitable contributions of parents.

About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine.

Together with the heads of education departments it was agreed that up to 1 December – a sufficient period to ensure implementation of this law.

“In addition to the unquestionable fact that the law must be obeyed, there is another – in society there is a myth that parents are almost entirely funded education. It is obvious that it is not. Transparent financial reporting is, first, will help us to estimate how much the real cost of the Ukrainian society invests in education and what share is this shadow the education budget, and, secondly, finally to give our parents a clear picture of what to spend their money. Let’s now define the optimal date when we can require all schools to publish these data. I’m sure that you – the heads of regional administrations – no one understands the work of the schools on the ground”, – said the Minister Lilia Grinevich, during a meeting with heads of all regional departments of education.
