Ukrainian pensioners will have to choose between pensions and salary

Pension reform was presented to the Ukrainian elderly unpleasant surprise — it turned out that they would not be able to simultaneously receive a salary and pension provisions.

“After the pension reform when the pension will be enough, you need to set the rule – or the person works, gets paid and retires late, but he would have a pension anymore. Or he goes into retirement and gets a pension, but it does not work”, — said the head of the Ministry of social policy otechestvennogo Andriy Reva.

The official added that such a rule allegedly operates in many countries, and threatened employers who will be unofficially to recruit retirees, with fines of 100 minimum wages, i.e. 320 thousand hryvnia.

As previously wrote “folk Truth”, the size of social benefits is completely dependent on the subsistence level. From 1 December 2017 to the average citizen it is 1700 UAH for disabled persons — 1373 hryvnia. Therefore, the minimum pension will also increase in accordance with raising the minimum subsistence level for a particular social group. After the pension reform the amount of payments was raised to 1373 UAH.

We add that the budget for 2018 experts call arrangements, because it contains lots of fixes, prolobbiroval policy makers and other influential players in their own interests. However, the lives of ordinary citizens is unlikely to improve.
