Defender of the national team of Ukraine on basketball Sviatoslav mykhailiuk has signed a contract with the club NBA “Los Angeles Lakers”.
The General Manager of the Lakers and Rob Pelinka officially announced the signing with the Mikhaylyuk full rookie contract.
According to authoritative American insider Shams Charania, Svyatoslav signed with the Lakers a three year contract (with team option for a third season) to $ 4.6 million.
Contract from the Lakers mykhailiuk earned a successful performance in the Summer League. In Las Vegas the pupil “Cherkasy Map” played two games averaging per game at 16.0 points and 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists.
Mikhailyuk became the second Ukrainian in the Lakers. From 2000 to 2006, the team from Los Angeles were Stanislav Medvedenko, who became the champion of the NBA in the 2001-2002 season.
