Titled Ukrainian athlete Olena kostevych won gold at the world championship in shooting in Changwon (South Korea).
In pistol shooting from 25-meter distance Kostevich competed with the Russian Vitalina Bazarkina. The name of the world champion was decided after a shootout – Kostevich and Bazarkina long way to equal, but the Ukrainian turned out to be more accurate.
Kostevich the second time in his career he became the champion of the world. The first victory the 33-year-old Ukrainian was celebrated in 2002 in Finland, in shooting from a pneumatic pistol with a 10-meter distance.
In South Korea, the Kostevich won the second medal. Previously Elena paired with Oleg Omelchuk came third in mixed doubles in the pistol shooting from 10 meters.

2. Vitalina Bazarkina (Russia) – 37 (4+4+2)
3. Dorin Pennekamp (Germany) – 31
Elena Kostevich is one of the most decorated athletes in the history of Ukraine. On account of the arrow three Olympic medals (1-0-2), four awards of the world Championships (2-1-1), 10 medals of the European Championships (3-2-5) and two victories at the Universiade.
