Ukrainian Khizhnyak – world Boxing champion

Following the victory at the European championship Alexander Khizhnyak in brilliant style won the world championship in Hamburg.

Due to the rating Khizhnyak missed 1/16 – 1/8 native of Poltava confidently beat Slovakia Andrei Cemehob (4:0), and then passed, the Englishman Benjamin Whittaker (4:1), and the semi-final, leaving no chance Troy Eisley (4:1).

Rival khizhniak in the decisive battle became a sensational 20-year-old Kazakh Abilkhan Amankul which on the way to the final he won several big victories.

Khizhnyak did not adapt to the opponent, and just went ahead and punched dozens of punches forward. Amankul was overwhelmed by the aggression of the opponent – the Kazakh in the ring, acted distractedly, and at the end of the second round was frankly to get away from the attacks of the Ukrainian.

All three rounds Khizhnyak has held so as not to give the judges no reason to doubt his victory. The referees appreciated the efforts of Alexander and recorded his victory by unanimous decision (30:26, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28).

Alexander Khizhnyak was recognized as the best boxer of the world championship in Hamburg. Gold khizhniak was the sixth for Ukraine at the world Championships. Previously winning the tournament was won by Vasyl Lomachenko (twice), Eugene Khitrov, Taras Shelestyuk and Oleksandr Usyk.
