In Chernivtsi 29-year-old hacker broke into the server of one of the largest mobile operators of Ukraine with the aim of obtaining unlimited 3G Internet. According to preliminary data, as a result of actions of the malefactor to the company suffered losses of more than million.About it reports a press-service of the Department of police of national police of Ukraine.
As found by the investigators, a resident of Chernivtsi in the beginning of the year picked up the password and gained access to the company’s servers on the administrator. After the attacker has added three personal accounts in the billing system for the sum about one million hryvnias. Therefore, the hacker used the services of a company for its own account.
In addition, an attacker unauthorized activated more than 100 scratch cards of the same mobile operator for total amount over 10 thousand hryvnias and tried to sell them.
During a search in apartment of the suspect, the police seized a 3G modem with a changed ESN rooms, computers, hard drives, wifi routers, mobile phones and more than 50 optical discs.
On this fact initiated criminal proceedings under article “Unauthorized intervention in work elektronno-computers (computers), automated systems, computer networks or telecommunication networks” of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
