Ukrainian drivers will be obliged to turn on headlights day

The rule will be in effect until may 1.

In Ukraine starting this Sunday, October 1, drivers will have to turn on daytime running lights or dipped beam on country roads. This is similar to the press service of the National police.

In accordance with paragraph 9.8 of the Rules of traffic, from October 1 to may 1 this provision is binding and is intended to enhance road safety in the darkened stretches of road in the daytime, and in the dark.

Rules are introduced to increase visibility for pedestrians and other road users in connection with the reduction of daylight and weather conditions.

For ignoring this rule provides for a penalty of 425 hryvnias.
