Alcohol is one of the most common causes of fatal road accidents in Ukraine. Tougher penalties, raids activists and police have an effect, but the situation does not change.
Another proof – update last year’s record drawn up protocols on drunk drivers per night. So from 5 to 6 may, the police issued 73 Protocol for driving under the influence. Whereas in 2016, the year for the most “productive” night Ukrainian police made 64 Protocol for drunk drivers. Note that it is only those who are caught.
We will remind, in Ukraine the allowable rate of alcohol in blood is 0.2 ppm. The penalties for driving intoxicated will start from 10 to 200 hryvnia, with rights taken for 1 year.
